Inspired by Durer's self portrait, I took the icon pose and painted a modern day beauty: A painter, a tattoo artist, a philosopher. The idea that these were both people who shared common thoughts, likes, dislikes and goals, but live centuries apart in entirely different worlds really fascinates me.
