ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Ken Stringfellow is a founding member of Seattle grunge trio The Posies, long-term collaborator with REM and Big Star, as well as being an international solo artist in his own right. He was '#MeToo'd' in 2022, cancelled by a newly, instantly judgmental music industry due to allegations he says were fabricated through jealousy, boredom, and financial gain. This portrait was painted in honour of his 2024 comeback album 'Circuit Breaker'.

Since gaining a Masters degree in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts in 2003 he has published books, albums and articles, lived in Istanbul for ten years, performed at and curated festivals, given a TED talk, been played on BBC Radio and been exhibited at London's South Bank. He was born in Exeter in 1975, and currently lives on the West Sussex coast.
