This is a very unique pop art painting on large canvas. This piece of "Mashup Pop Art" combines a traditional Japanese geisha, used in Japanese woodcut paintings, with images from the hip hop/rap group Wu-Tang Clan. The bumble bee is one of their logos, as is the large "W" up in the left corner. The text at the top is from the TV show Iron Chef.

Matt Pecson is known for creating stunning paintings using a combination of somewhat unrelated pop images. His witty art encourages conversation and always gets attention. Display it in the home, office or even a man cave. This is an original Matt Pecson art work. Order now to guarantee availability.

Matt Pecson paints contemporary pop art in his own unique style, with bold colors and expressionist brushstrokes to evoke the passion and soul of the subjects he paints. Matt draws much of his influence from his love of art and music and from his travels. Matts work is also influenced by a condition called “synesthesia”, which is a mixing of the senses. This sometimes results in playful colorful paintings which seem to come alive with motion. In addition to traditional canvas, Matt often employs unconventional or recycled surfaces as canvas. He uses broken or scratched records, or old wood pallets, fences or doors, or even old paintings that he finds at thrift stores. Matt spent most of his life in the Washington DC area, but now lives and works in Sarasota, Florida.
