About The Artwork

Available for print is a high resolution, cropped photograph of a section of a painting featuring Albany, Western Australia a large portion of Australia’s Great Southern region. This cropped photo features Denmark, a village to the west of Albany, a regional hub set upon King Georges Sound. Over the original photograph is painted the imagined, 23rd century future urban sprawl in white and pink acrylic. In gold are traced the roads existing in 2014. Albany and surrounds are relatively small settlements deep in Western Australia’s countryside. This quiet setting hides an unborn city, a region with enormous mega-economic potential.

I am a scientist and artist. My hand-painted, abstract cities represent the Urban Organism, a biological interpretation of urbanisation. My cities are imagined. If a real location is painted, it is an idealised vision of the future, a case study in urbanisation. The pieces featured here do not represent my full body of work. You're seeing archival artwork only.
