King Kong - Scent Of A Woman Painting

This piece depicts the rare, and deleted scene, of Kong having pulled off Fay Wray's clothing, rubbing his fingers all over her body, and smelling his fingers. The following is a list of other scenes that were also deleted in the late 1930s, and not restored until the '70s: All scenes of the Brontosaurus biting sailors, including the sequence where a sailor climbs to the top of a tree, and soon, a dinosaur comes and takes him away in his mouth. Kong biting and chewing natives when he breaks through the gate on Skull Island, and squashing one under his giant foot. Kong on the rampage in New York City, and munching on a Manhattanite. Kong picking a sleeping woman from her hotel room, inspecting her and upon deciding that she's not Ann throwing her to the sidewalk several stories below. Though these scenes were fully restored in 35mm to the 1972 re-release, some prints in the 1960s used 35mm blow-ups of an old uncensored 16mm print to restore the shots, creating a noticeable drop in quality. The 1972 restoration gets the censored shots that were discovered in an uncut British 35mm print from 1933. Using references of original conceptual art by Byron Crabbe and Mario Larrinaga, designs and concepts by Fred Reese, Victor and Marcel Delgado, Willis O'Brien, and Merrian C. Cooper, the ingenuity and developmental skills of Vernon l.Walker, Linwood G. Dunn, and the RKO optical printer, pristine 16mm film prints containing deleted scenes,and rare, behind the scenes production stills, I combined these resources to create film-like scenes that do not actually exist within any frame of the feature film. King Kong is a black and white film. There are rare sepia tone prints that, for me, as an illustrator with red/green color blindness, bring out depth, dimensions, light, and shadow. I successfully penciled, inked, and applied a wash-in, with sepia tones, broken down into these four sepia (brown) variants: burnt umber, raw umber, raw sienna, and burnt sienna.
