"Kolyma White" is a plastic projection of the emotions received during the reading of "The Kolyma Tales" by Varlam Shalamov, prisoner of the gulag. Composed in white and ocher, a few touches of blue and ash, this painting also uses the technique of absorbent paper soaked in water already used in the series of "Prophecies".

“I paint a stained, drooling nature. My images are shadows, fugitive remains, blurred memories, witnesses of traces made indelible. These are prophecies of a leaking world.” After 34 years in Paris, Arnaud Gautron now lives and works in Brittany, where he finds an environment conducive to the development of expressionist visions of his imagination. His paintings are based on the study of the relationship between man and nature and on the exploration of his own unconscious.
