I made some stamps in the shapes of eyes, noses, lips, ears, and bones. I spend time contemplating the persistence of life, and the rapid acquisition of knowledge.

I've been asking myself: How is it that the quantity of human knowledge has expanded by millions of times over the last 300 years or so, yet there is no evidence of any corresponding evolution of capacity in the human brain? I suppose there must be some corresponding simplification of our understanding (perhaps through mathematics), specializations across multiple individuals, and other explanations. However, none of these advances seem to answer where we are from, what is consciousness, and what is our destiny.

I would like to add, it would have been nice if there was an equal advance in human decency and respect for life and all living organisms, but painfully it appears we are at the whims of nature, and a higher order of uncertainty.
