Kun Fayakoon Painting

Let's get into the story behind this artwork. There was going to be (Iqbalian Fine Arts Society) IFAS Art Gala 2023, which included art competitions in various categories including painting and calligraphy. I was really busy with my studies that I almost gave up participating in Calligraphy Category. I made this artwork in a single night, right on the day before exhibition. it was really challenging and exhausting, and I kept yawning the next day. Anyway, I was not expecting this painting to receive that much appreciation. The vacations were announced before Art Gala Results. I had collected all of my artworks from the society's patron's office (Dr. Imran, Associate Professor of Pathology at AIMC) before vacations. During holidays, I kept thinking about the results especially those of calligraphy's. One day as I was cleaning my cupboard, I happened to turn around the painting and on the backside of it there was written "GOLD" and the Head Artist's Signature and the date. I couldn't believe my eyes and those few letters made my whole week or weeks I should say. I received a Gold Medal in Calligraphy by IFAS due to this painting. A core memory. The Verses of Quran i wrote are the second last and last one from Surah Yaseen, with "Kun Faya Koon"(كُن فَيَكُون) being the greatest words. "Kun Faya koon” (كُن فَيَكُون) is an Arabic phrase that translates to “Be, and it is.” It is associated with divine creation and the concept of Allah’s ability to bring things into existence simply by willing them to be. The phrase is a powerful expression of divine omnipotence. I made it colorful to symbolize the diversity of things that Allah SWT can do simply by willing them to be. Well, it's everything that Allah SWT can do as he is the All Powerful. (My painting is in hostel right now and i am on vacations. the size that i will mention will not be the exact same size but i cut an A3 size sketchbook paper in square which might give you some idea about the size)
