L'âge d'or is inspired by colors of Art Nouveau period and artistic movement. Klimt used this colors palette for instance. Gold, black, red and dark green are the combination of colors which, to me, represent the best way to paint this period.

This painting is a mixed media. I do my own colors with tempera technique, and I mix it with qualitative ink. The back is made with watercolor (also homemade) and projection.
It's made on raw linen, and this painting is varnished for a better way of conservation.

I'm a self taught artist passionate about colours, ceramics, corals and marine creatures. I chose to mix both in my paintings by imaging submarine landscape through colors and abstracts shapes. I chose abstract art because I’ve always been fascinate by the strenght who emanates from an abstraction. I can write my own language, and I manage to do it thanks to hues. Medium is also important in my picture. I work with different techniques : tempera and embroideries. The mainly medium I use is tempera. I do my painting by my self with some pigments and egg yolk. It’s the ancestor of oil painting. It may appear as an outdated process but it’s how I obtain unique colors, looking at how painters used to make their palettes in the past. That’s why I like tempera. it's quite the same logic with embroideries. The gesture is so important. Using it in an abstract way embodies to me the mix between tradition and modernism. This dualism is also confirmed by use of acrylic at the same time which is the beacon paint of 20th/21st centuries. Using those two medium is a kind of historic outward which complete my work about History. So, let’s enjoy traveling with me into the fascinating evocation power of the colours between abstract submarine landscapes. GOOD TO KNOW : I chose the title of my painting by assembling the weight of the pigments I used and the references of the threads I embroidered. This gives me geographic coordinates : the lattitude is determined by the pigments, whereas the longitude by the threads.
