The hearts I have made so far are a continuation of study in perfecting the heart. Can we perfect a heart? There is no perfect heart, just the one that is perfect for each of us. Having this on your wall is an expression of LOVE. Just Big Love. And it's always the season for love. Right?

Art is woven into my DNA. My grandfather, Gleb W. Derujinsky, was a renowned sculptor; my father, Gleb Derujinsky, a celebrated Harper’s Bazaar photographer. Growing up surrounded by their creativity, I developed a lifelong passion for artistic expression across mediums. My journey began with two decades as an award-winning jewelry artist, challenging conventions and elevating beadwork to fine art. Later, I preserved my father’s legacy through the publication of Capturing Fashion Derujinsky (Flammarion, 2018). Today, I reimagine traditional dyeing as fine art, using the same heavyweight cotton canvas favored by master painters. My process—layering permanent watercolor dyes onto meticulously prepared, hand-cut circular canvases—results in vivid, immersive works that explore space, nature, and human connection. Each piece is crafted with technical rigor and a spirit of experimentation, inviting viewers to engage with movement, imperfection, and depth. My practice is self-directed, shaped by decades of hands-on exploration, innovation, and a deep-rooted family legacy. I am committed to pushing the boundaries of textile and painting, creating art that bridges tradition and contemporary vision.
