Lady in Red Painting

After I painted Lady in Purple, I was inspired to paint Blue Lady. By then I thought I would paint various women wearing different colors. For each painting first I bought the dress, then advertised for a model. For Lady in Red I purchased a classic red Chinese dress with frogs and slit along the bottom side. So, of course, I wanted a Chinese lady to model. Through a friend I found Yuxin, and she gladly modeled for me wearing the dress. During the Spring of the year in LA many pink trumpet trees shed their blossoms, so I thought to add them to the painting. This is the result. I hope you like it. I hope this painting makes viewers feel happy. I choose the medium, subject and style because they are part of current series.
