ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This acrylic painting is done on paper 24" x 22". The image size is 18" x 18". When you mat and frame it, it will be about 26" x 26". This painting has a lot of texture. I'm inspired by mid-century color, design, style, architecture, fabric, pattern and atomic motifs. My interest is in transparency and opacity created with rows of dots which I refer to as striations. The striations cross over different surfaces and shapes. My paintings sometime refer to landscapes, but I think of then as purely abstract.
