About The Artwork
This painting is one of my latest. There is a hidden depth in the piece: on the surface, the viewer dwells on that pale pink & rippling texture, but ones eye wanders into the depth at the background, what can one see? Roots, leaves, trees in water? The ambiguity hangs over the piece, the uncertainty of texture. The darkness of the bottom panel also allows the eye to wander in & out, like a deep dark forest. The overall reds & pink tones makes the piece warm & unusual, with a monumentality in its texture. A conversation starter. The painting needs no frame, cords or wires. It is ready to hang on any wall. I would advise two wall hooks/nails & hang directly onto those.
