Showed at the The Other Art Fair

This flowing abstract blue, grey and turquoise piece is about rain pouring down, water flowing, tears that are wept, things washed away.... and after pouring rain the light comes through.... Mostly gouache and ink in many layers, some acrylic added. You can see little rain drops in the sky made by real rain on the gouache. Please note, that different monitors can show different shades of colors. The painting has many different blue and grey colors with some turquoise green in between the blue that is difficult to catch with my camera and is not shown properly. The sky is a very light blue, not just grey. You can see this a little better on the details photos and at the wall. 80x80 on canvas, white floating frame, hook on the back, ready to hang. Signed on the back with certificate of authenticity. If there are any questions or you need further advice, don´t hesitate to contact me! (c) Gesa Reuter 2017, all right reserved.

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
