Kozlovskyi Mykola is Ukrainian contemporary artist.. Born in 1994 year in Stupnytsia, Lviv region. Now lives and works in Lviv, Ukraine. I was born and raised in a small beautiful village. From an early age he grew up surrounded by nature, beautiful landscapes. That's why I paint landscapes the most. I am also fond of still life and abstraction. I received my art education at the Academy of Arts, at the Department of Sacred Art, where I learned to draw icons in the Byzantine style. But I kept the love for landscapes to myself. I draw inspiration from avant-garde artists such as Matisse, Duffy, Kirchner. And I also love the work of American abstractionists Pollock, Rothko and Albers.I am interested in avant-garde painting form: from impressionism to abstraction. Therefore, in my work I do not adhere to any one manner, but try to experiment with the form, to simplify it. All the artworks are an interpretation of the author`s view of beauty, harmony and energy of the landscape. Mykola makes lots of preparing sketches on the plein air to catch a very best moment and composition and never works with photos. Finally we see how incredibly the abstract compositions are built on the basis of everyday plain air practice and researches. The author's works are his emotions and deep feelings supplemented with professional compositional, tonal and color analysis that can be seen in his paintings.
