Adrian Gonzalez, a Cuban artist born in 1993 and currently based in Madrid, Spain, has harbored a lifelong fascination for art. His creative path began in childhood with colorful drawings and wooden sculptures of imaginative figures like ships and spaceships. This early curiosity evolved into a commitment to the arts, leading him to participate in workshops and art competitions, ultimately recognizing his vocation in visual expression. González formalized his dedication by graduating with a specialization in sculpture from the Professional School of Visual Arts in his hometown in 2012. Over time, he expanded his scope to include curatorial work, photography, and, eventually, painting—drawing on his expertise in volume, spatial perception, and drawing techniques. Now, painting has become his primary medium, where he employs watercolor to portray urban landscapes and portraits, capturing the vivid essence of both environments and characters. Today, Gonzalez explores geometric abstraction and figurative art, particularly in the dynamic field of polygonal art. This recent, colorful phase reflects a profound introspection and creative exploration, culminating in a distinctive visual style marked by bold contrasts and a meticulous approach to color. His compositions allow viewers to discern structures, forms, and facial expressions that celebrate the beauty of the often overlooked.
