Contact us.I (b.1996) obtained a BA in Visual Arts from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2020, and I currently live and work in Hong Kong.
For me, creating is a way to find a sense of order and awareness within a chaotic reality. Living in Hong Kong, a city of relentless rhythm and constant information flow, people often feel emotionally fragmented and physically numb. The repetition of everyday life, information overload, and the tension of society gradually create a distance between oneself and their own experiences. My practice unfolds within this distance. It is both an act of resistance and a form of adjustment, a way to observe reality and to reconnect with sensation and the body.
I am interested in how individuals continue to feel and imagine within the structured patterns of urban life. My works often begin with fragments of observation, small moments that become entry points for me to understand emotion and reality. Through painting, collage, video, and drawing, I try to capture the subtle forms of alienation, resilience, and the desire to escape.
In my creative process, I often move between documentation and fiction. Documentation allows me to confront the texture of reality, while fiction opens a space for escape and reconstruction. The imagined characters, recomposed images, and still scenes in my work are ways of understanding the real. Through re-creation and re-enactment, I seek to uncover the emotions and desires that lie beneath the surface.
