ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I began this painting so long ago that I can't remember when. I found it last year, in my storage racks and continued the painting of the composition that I had started long ago. I noticed things about it that were more interesting than I had thought them to be and some color shifting brought the image to life. Unlike most of my work the paint is thick with signs of the old painting underneath.

I allow myself allusions to the surreal, but without any intentional symbolism – details that you might imagine from the corner of your eye.
