The joy of a cool late evening. But of course, there is much more to it than just beautiful green banana leaves. The secret is that this is a portrait. A portrait of another family member. This banana palm tree has watched our children grow up, and not only that… Sometimes it even fed us bananas, if it was watered enough… The older children who loved to sit on the bench under it are already adults, and the banana palm tree is just as green and young… In my artwork, I sought to capture the vibrant, rejuvenating essence of lush banana leaves under a late evening sky. Using acrylics, I blended the bold simplicity of Pop Art with the textured strokes of Impressionism to bring out the vibrant greens and deep shadows of the leaves. This piece embodies a sense of renewal and freshness, inviting a burst of natural vitality into any space it adorns.

"Creation of art is the love of my life and I dedicate almost every day to that (not forgetting my five children and my husband, of course). I constantly enjoy the beauty of our world and want to share this pleasure with others." Shlomit was born in 1968 in Kharkov, Ukraine. She began drawing since she was a young child. Her father, an amateur artist, taught her the basics of painting. At the age of six she started attending a children's art studio and continued learning to draw, sculpt and paint until she graduated from high school. In 1991, Shlomit earned her Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture and Design of the Architectural Environment from the prestigious Moscow State Academy of Architecture (MARKHI) after six years of dedicated study. Later that year, she moved to the beautiful city of Jerusalem, Israel. After getting married in Israel, Shlomit focused on her family and dedicated herself to raising her five children. Now that her children have grown up, Shlomit has happily returned to painting. Her work is inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Israel and her travel experiences. Shlomit works in oil, watercolor, and acrylic and her paintings are characterized by a free manner.
