VIEW IN MY ROOM
This painting/pastel work was created after visiting Laurel Ridge Farms in Litchfield, Connecticut in late spring. I wanted to convey the awe inspiring and dream like feeling I experienced in the quiet serenity amongst glistening light and brilliant colors of a sunny morning. I painted an underlayer in acrylic paint and then covered it almost entirely by drawing over it in oil pastels. accentuated the color palette.
