Colette’s work is strongly influenced by texture and colour within the natural landscape from which she draws her inspiration. Working in acrylics she applies many layers of colour and texture with a palette knife, capturing the stunning beauty of nature within her work. . As an Artist I feel an intense desire to recreate spirit of nature I want my work reflects its incredible intricacy and beauty. I would describe my artwork as impressionist, organic, and sometimes abstract, the use of texture is essential in my work it adds a three dimensional quality and which gives the painting life.
