Light in the Trees Painting

There was a mood I was trying to capture with a softer focus. It is always slightly windy here and one senses the motion in the natural world, as part of the total experience. I am borrowing a little of the Impressionists' sensibility in this piece. The effects of light and motion can become more interesting than the objects themselves. This is aqueous media on Canson acid-free artist grade paper. I finished the work by mounting it onto a regular canvas, painted matte black (see additional view). It would be easy to add a frame, if you prefer.
