PICTURE: DE: Löwin Eva Es ist für mich eine Art Befreiungsbild von einer einschränkenden Vergangenheit hin zu dem Blick nach vorn in die Zukunft im doppelten Sinne. Und es ist das erste große Bild meiner „Gestalt – Tiere“. Ich habe es gemalt, nachdem ich mich frei entfalten konnte in meinem ersten angemieteten Atelier. Raum für mich und auch Raum für größere Arbeiten. Die Geschichte des Sündenfalls umzuwandeln und einer starken Frauengestalt einen Auftritt zu erlauben war mein Wunsch. Weit weg von Schuld. Blumen des Paradieses hängen kopfüber. Große Blumen in der Farbe der Unschuld wachsen zum Himmel. Der Kopf der Löwin Eva füllt in etwa die Bildmitte des Bildes. Auffallend ist ihre Haltung – auffallend ist ihr Blick. Ihr rechtes Auge ist klar und offen auf uns, dem Betrachter gerichtet. Es fällt als erstes auf und zieht einem in den Bann. Der Blick ihres linken Auges schaut auf einen kleinen Vogel mit roten Schuhen, der außer Reichweite neckend und fröhlich auf Ihren Schnurrhaaren sitzt und in Richtung Zukunft zeigt. Die Schlange schlingt sich hingebend um Hals und Oberkörper und verdaut das geschluckte Objekt der Versuchung.
