This is one of the smaller paintings in my grid series. It uses a combination of bronze spray paint, and pencil marks to create the image. It is a beautiful little painting. It delicately dances between the organic and natural, and the manmade and architectural. The bronze dots scud across the canvas, creating movement, energy and sensuality. The paler colour below creates some calm and structure. Using delicate pencil lines that underpin the image, and control it's exuberance. The painting is contemporary, sensual and beautiful.

"I believe that visual language has a potent power, like music or literature. And it has the power to lift, communicate and transform. Using pattern and mark to create rhythm, I use a range of materials; paint, pencil, fabric, collage, metallics, and build up my paintings in a very organic way. I overlay layers of paint, mark and collage to build up the pictorial space. This creates glimpses, hidden spaces, things half_ shown, suggested. I use delicate layers of texture, drawing and colour to create an ambiguous space. The image is then worked and re_worked until the image is “found”. Only when a balance and integration is achieved I feel that the painting is finished. I like to think of them as “visual poems”. This sensual world is one to be absorbed, felt, and enjoyed. "
