Vibrant color was my success here I believe. But also a kind of a departure for me. I'm veering away from my more usually strict attempt at reality and making more of a painterly approach that allows for brush strokes and fuzzy areas, as well as outright ambiguous or blurred image areas. I love that freedom to mix the 2 worlds of reality and impression, and also add depth. I have a great love of children, flowers, the outdoors, nature, and looking for the beauty of the world. This one captures much of these.
