Little Yellow Bridge Between orange and fire, a yellow form insists on staying. I didn't plan it—it appeared, the way memory appears: sudden, warm, slightly out of place. This is the bridge: not the one you cross, but the one that crosses you. The lines are not drawing. They are listening. Painted...

I live by the art
אני גר אמנות
Yo vivo el arte
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and now live in Berlin.
I have been developing my artistic practice since 1990. As an interdisciplinary artist, I work across a range of materials and techniques, and over the years I have created numerous sculptures, paintings, and artist's books. My sculptures take shape on different supports and materials—as reliefs, textures, and calligraphies with a symbolic character, born from a syncretic visual language.
I paint mostly on paper, which gives my work a particular warmth and grounding, though I also work on canvas and other surfaces. I'm especially drawn to mixed media, combining acrylic, ink, watercolor, and other materials.
Assemblage has become an essential part of my practice: a two- or three-dimensional construction built from wood scraps and fragments of stoneware, glued together and painted. I love how assemblage and collage let me bring different materials together into new works with a distinct aesthetic of their own.
I left my homeland, Venezuela, in 2003 and moved to Tenerife, in Spain's Canary Islands, where I found a new home on this "island of eternal spring" in the middle of the Atlantic. In 2013, I became a Spanish citizen. After eighteen grateful and intensely creative years in the Canaries, I decided to move to Berlin in 2021—where my studio is based today, a place that moves and inspires me in a different way. I remain in constant dialogue with my social environment, actively seeking a harmony between humanity and nature—a balance amid continuous movement.
On this Saatchi Art page, I share a selection of my work as a way of extending my artistic voice into the world. It offers another way to get to know my work, through which I hope to connect with you—and which helps me keep growing as an artist.
