In his book "Critique of Aesthetic Reason" (also known as "Beauty and the Sublime"), Immanuel Kant explains the difference between beauty and the sublime. Kant defines beauty as what pleases us immediately, while the sublime is what impresses us with its greatness, even if we don't like it. Kant explains that beauty is perceived through the senses, while the sublime is perceived through reason. Kant also argues that beauty is a subjective concept, while the sublime is a universal concept that relates to the power of nature. I hope that the collector sees my work and feels that there is a story, a thought behind each brushstroke.

Hackermeister José Ballester My work moves fluently in painting and intervention generating a new imaginary universe that can be described as alternatively dreamlike, magical, feverish, tragicomic, enigmatic but that is always outside the supposed rational order of things. My work is rooted, but it is inspired by nature. The result is an elastic and explosive mixture of gestures.
