About The Artwork
Transparent linen canvas made entirely by hand, using traditional methods straight from textbooks of painting technology. The base has a natural color of raw linen (grey-brown, slightly matted and brightened with a layer of gelatin). The sides of the base are raw. The canvas is stapled to the back of the stretcher. "Logos" as an ontological principle. Heraclitus' thoughts on the unity of opposites are very close to me. The philosopher left the thought that the unity of the world and its various parts is maintained through the tension generated by opposites. According to him, each polar substance contains its opposite, in constant circular exchange and motion, which results in the stability of the cosmos. .

I am an artist living and working in Gdańsk, Poland. I graduated from the Faculty of Painting and Drawing at the University of Arts in Poznań (2017). I ‘m interested in creating space and distance that feels like the familiar world around us but is ambiguous, general, and abstracted. I believe that the image is a fragment of material and spiritual reality. I treat my paintings as a mental journey through the places. I try to capture what is on the verge of visibility. I study the structures of reality in their passing process, in constant movement and transformation. Creative work is a process that opens me up to the work of memory and imagination. I deal with painting, photography, drawing, graphics and objects. I like to combine various media in search of a suitable form of artistic expression.
