Long Legs Painting

Exploring time through quiet landscapes with deteriorating structures of billboards, I encourage viewers to slow down and contemplate the character of spaces that held a different message in another time. This artwork was created with acrylic paint and paper built up in layers and then scraped off. On cradled birch panel; there is a spot-varnish on only the billboard faces, giving the finish a contrast when viewed at the right angle. The edges of the painting are finished with a dark grey and can be hung without framing (mounted with picture wire).
