'Longing for Spring' is original watercolour portrait of a young woman with blushing cheeks, red lips and red nose, painted in very loose, expressive style. This portrait is one of three female portraits I painted at the beginning of Spring 2021, named: 'Blue Series' - due to the blue tones used on these paintings. In fact, the girl on the portrait is imaginary, she does not exist in real. Years ago, I have realised how much I enjoy creating people's portraits (mainly female's portraits) using photographs as an inspiration. It might have been pose, light or colour that inspires me as an artist. Then the creative process begins. Although I love to paint portraits of real people, creating portrait using imaginary features, and face expression given to 'the model' by myself I've found as fascinating. The character of this portrait allows you to hang it vertically or horizontally depending on your concept. Size of the picture: 148 mm x 210 mm. You will have received unframed, original painting on watercolour paper signed on the front (Mir) and on the back (Malgorzata Miroslaw). Colour may slightly vary due to monitor settings. Certificate of Authenticity of the artwork will be provided.

With a profound passion for artistry, I specialize in evocative female portraits that delve deep into the realm of emotions. My artistic journey is a testament to my fascination with the human face, particularly the intricate nuances of expression encapsulated within the eyes. Whether traversing the realms of realism or embracing the realm of imagination, my portraits serve as a canvas for my own innermost feelings, inviting viewers to embark on an introspective journey of their own. In addition to my prowess with the paintbrush, I find joy in the realm of sculpture, where I craft whimsical pieces using a medley of recycled materials. Using wire, fabric, paper and environmentally-friendly fabric hardener I create a unique narrative of my artistic expression. Under the business name 'Chameleon’s House', I have also carved a niche as a furniture artist, breathing new life into vintage pieces through the art of upcycling. This endeavour not only champions environmental stewardship by repurposing forgotten treasures but also serves as a testament to the transformative power of creativity. Each revamped creation emerges as a testament to my dedication to infusing beauty and value into the everyday, turning mundane into extraordinary. Join me on a journey of artistic exploration as I continue to push the boundaries of creativity, one stroke at a time.
