About The Artwork
In this artwork we see an interesting juxtaposition of a man looking up, over a piece of landscape. The landscape is of an autumn forest in front of a snow-covered mountain. Fall colors of red and oranges are used against the light blues of ice and snow. The title suggests that by looking up for wisdom from God, we can gain understanding about our relational connection with nature and the environment around us. This painting is done in oils & acrylics on canvas. The canvas is not framed, and is not stretched over a supporting frame. Both, however, are possible at extra cost and different shipping arrangements. As is it it will be rolled up and shipped in a tube.

Janna is a South African artist, born and raised in the capital, Pretoria, where she also obtained an Honours degree in Fine Art at the local university. She now lives and practices art from her studio at home in Cape Town. In her oil paintings she explores the inner world of people and expresses it often through the relationship of figures and landscape. The type of landscape, it’s colour, and the position of the figures all give clues as to what could be happening in that person’s soul. Painting is her passion as she loves the immediacy and vibrancy of oil paint applied to a canvas or board. Currently she is challenging herself to explore new styles, expressions and applications of oils, and is deeply fascinated with colour and how they play off each other. Her work focuses on the positive, pouring courage and hope into people.
