About The Artwork
Lou Boudreau was a Hall of Fame baseball player. He played for 15 seasons, primarily as a shortstop on the Cleveland Indians, and managed four teams for 15 seasons including 10 seasons as a player-manager. He was also a radio announcer for the Chicago Cubs. I was inspired to create this image by my husband who is crazy about the old days of baseball. It was painted using Corel Painter and my Wacom tablet.

I was born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area and currently reside just north of Dallas. Although I have always been interested in art and have dabbled in painting and drawing in the past, I became a full time artist upon retirement from a commercial real estate finance career. Thus far, I have focused on sports images, created in conjunction with a family-run sports collectible business. However, I will also be sharing digital paintings of beautiful sights from travels throughout the world. My preferred medium is digital painting, as I enjoy being able to quickly change from airbrush to watercolor to oil techniques and generally incorporate photography into my work.
