ABOUT THE ARTWORK

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

In my past professional life, I have seen so many people wearing a mask, so as not to divulge their weaknesses, their flaws. I realized we only display a partial image of ourselves to others. By becoming an artist, I wanted to drop the pretense, tell the world who I really was, no longer be afraid...

French artist, born in Nîmes (south of France).Raised in Lyon.Currently lives in Paris. “The two most important days in your life, are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” Mark Twain. Stéphane is, now, experiencing the day 2. After 20 years’ experience in senior level marketing positions at multinational corporations, he left his career behind and decided to make the most of his newfound liberty by living his passion to the full : to paint. Great admirer of Pierre Soulages and Gerhard Richter, he has developed a fierce will to create, to give voice to and share his emotions with a complete freedom. The main purpose of his work is to create with truth, passion and to let go, arouse emotions and share with his public. Working 16 years for a famous soft drinks beverage, served in an aluminum can, has left a lasting mark… His specialization is painting on aluminum, as a canvas. Aluminum which he loves for its modern touch and timelessness. There are no barriers and no filters between his emotions and the Aluminum. The metal’s durability contrasts with fleeting emotion expressed upon it.Aluminum acts as mirror to your emotions, allowing light to appear through varied forms and reliefs.Painting on aluminum is a genuinely sensitive experience, that is new each time, as it plays with various materials (acrylic, oil, diamond powder…) and responds to unusual painting tools that create new movements and shapes.A lot of material in his paintings is an invitation to delve deeply, to create your own path, and find your personal emotion.
