The Texas native earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in the study of studio arts in 1997, with an emphasis in metalsmithing and painting. Now living in Warsaw, Poland since 2010, the artist divides his time as a visual communicator and a language instructor, in each case, working with symbolic ideas that translate into collective understanding to enable a means of expression for the transmission of ideas and experiences. His artwork depicts natural objects placed within a geographical setting to represent the processes of construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction in the environment. The paintings and drawings are a narration of this sinusoidal pattern existing in everyday reality. Stones, sticks, and even clouds serve as symbols within landscapes that illustrate the link between the natural world and human nature. This allows the viewer to question how mankind faces a changing world, and how one interacts with it as both a passenger and driver in this dynamic process. The painted scenes have varied interpretations due to the diverse experiences, perceptions, and opinions of the audience members as they attempt to make sense of the natural imagery and isolation in the artwork. This appreciation for nature has further expanded to include found stones as a form of natural sculpture, with their basis loosely connected to the Japanese tradition of suiseki. His extensive resume of exhibitions originate in his homeland and continue throughout Poland and abroad, while several paintings have appeared in the following juried publications: Capsules, Curatorial - Leaders in Contemporary Art, 2019 / Manifest Gallery, International Painting Annual 7 (INPA), 2018 / Manifest Gallery, International Painting Annual 3 (INPA), 2014 / New American Paintings, 15 Years, 2009 / New American Paintings, Vol.60 - Western United States Edition, 2005. Additionally, he has collaborated with music recording labels and the groups associated with them: Has Anyone Ever Told You Records (USA), One Instrument Records (GER), and most notably, Erased Tapes Records (UK).
