As both a studio artist and avid researcher of mental health studies, my large scale, abstract paintings challenge the viewer to reconsider mental health. Through my research, I have discovered that there are two minds or identities the human collective can live from: the ego, or what I call the “I Am mind.” When we function from the ego mind, we live as if we are separate from others and another Reality I believe is here and available for us. In other words, we live in and from fear. When we function from the “I Am mind,” we simply Are. We exist. Meaning, we live as one with each other and all that is. When we live according to this Mind (or identity), we live in and from Love, creating a new world. This is the basis of all of my art.
