VIEW IN MY ROOM
Major General Armitage Twigg fought his last battle at Orphans Creek where he single-handedly kept an entire Rat brigade at bay, with an empty carbine and bayonet, whilst allowing his bloodied troops to escape to safety. For this heroic deed he was awarded the Golden Beak and Claws, posthumously. This painting is from Stu Duval's 'Birdlandia' Series which depicts the lives and history of birds and other creatures living in the fictional world of Birdlandia in the Southern Seas circa 1860. This peaceful nation is beset by trouble with the invasion of the Stoats and Weasel Armies of the Northern land of Weaselpotamia. They must rally a rag-tag army to defend themselves against overwhelming odds.
