I had challenges painting on a larger canvas. I could not find gravity or depth. Suddenly, this creature appears on the canvas. The painting insists on becoming an elephant. I surrendered. If you do not like elephants make it a mountain.

I have been drawing and painting since I was a kid. The last coupe of years my interest in abstract painting has increased. Nature and animals are however always on my mind when I'm painting. Nordic landscapes, trees, snails, birds, fish etc. turn up here and there. Other people can't always recognize the shapes. 'Where is the mouse you keep talking about', they may ask. That's totally ok with me. I think I need a living creature, a tree or some flowers to kick start the painting process.
