This abstract artwork masterfully employs minimalist elements to evoke profound contemplation and emotional intensity. Dominated by a stark white canvas, the primary feature of this piece is the presence of two prominent black ink splatters, positioned side by side in the upper half of the work. These splatters serve as the epicenter from which hundreds of fine, radiating lines emerge, akin to the sprawling legs of an ink-stained spider, creating a compelling contrast against the purity of the background. Each elongated droplet gravitates downward in a gravitational symphony, forming inky streaks that trail vertically toward the bottom edge, suggesting both motion and stillness simultaneously. The symmetry between the two splatters invites a dual interpretation: it simultaneously represents chaos and control, reflecting the unpredictability and structured aspects of life. The simplicity of the color palette heightens the dramatic effect, as the black ink fiercely commands attention, leaving no space for distraction. This duality, embodied by the stark black and white contrast, engages viewers in a visceral exploration of depth and the essence of form, while inducing a meditative state through its repetitive and harmonious patterns. This piece’s distinctive use of ink, captured in its natural state of expansion and flow, exudes a raw, unrefined energy, emphasizing the organic process of creation. It speaks to the spontaneous nature of life and the beauty found within randomness, making it a compelling focal point for any critical analysis or visual contemplation.

I have come to a realization about myself and my art. I am impatient and I have need for instant gratification. I get frustrated with time consuming traditional techniques and want to skip ahead to the end. These are the reasons that I am a series artist. I like to experiment with an idea or a technique until I am satisfied with the result. The inspiration for my work is in trying the new techniques. Having freedom of expression and not being limited to one style or technique of making art are paramount to my identity as an artist. I love the many different processes of making art and experimenting with new ways of creating art. My inspiration stems from color, music, literature, and the excitement about the unknown possibilities of taking everyday objects and using them in a way that differs from what the manufacturer intended. I use a combination of found objects, acrylic paints, and aerosol paints to create abstract patterns on wood and canvas. Some of my methods include combining different chemicals and paint on paper or in plastic or wood box frames and using centrifugal force and gravity to distort vivid colors that are mixed or thrown right on the canvas. The result is the distortion of lines and contours, and layers of translucent or opaque paints on the canvas or in random patterns.
