ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is a tribute to a very particular person in history, especially from Spain. His name is Manfred Gnadinger, he was a hermit who decided to leave everything to live a freer life, more connected to nature and the spiritual. He was a very prolific artist, who decorated his house (the old chapel of the place) and the surrounding area. The painting portrays his particular prophecy, which said that a black whale (oil) was going to arrive on the coast of Camelle and was going to destroy everything in its path. Once the whale was buried by him in the dream, he would die in peace. Interestingly, something very similar was what happened in real life.
