Born in 1976 2nd of August,  in Satu Mare, a city located in the west of Romania, Andrea Katona is the youngest out of four children of Luiza and József Katona. Andrea showed her love for arts since childhood. Her wish was to go to an art high school in Baia Mare, though it didn't happen. Andrea Katona pursued her dream in her fourth year at at Engineering University when she registered in the Aurel Pop School of Arts from Satu Mare. Andrea studied arts for three years,  with Sodorai Parádi Hajnalka and Abkorovits Robert as teachers and mentors. During these years, Andrea  took part in different national graphics and painting competitions . Andrea is passionate about graphic design, so , for her,it was a challenge to go into the world of colours.  Andrea steped up and started being attracted by the oil paintings.   In 2015 she became a member in the Artist Association in Satu Mare, where she participated in numerous collective exhibits  , from Satu Mare,  Cardiff, Cluj and Debrecen in Hungary She was an active member of the association until 2018, when she moved to a different city.    In 2019, Andrea Katona relocated to Cluj Napoca, where she is continuing her art activity, with new forces and lots of enthusiasm.     In January 2022 , Andrea had her first personal art show at Turnul Croitorilor, Cluj Napoca, followed in the same year by a new collection and a new exhibit at Kányaló Gallery. In the same year, Andrea became a member of Cultural Society. 2023 is also filled with activities for Andrea, she had two more personal art shows, one in July , and another one in August. She also had in the summer of 2023 an art interview at Radio Cluj.     All these art related experiences in the last two years helped Andrea realize  the importance of painting in her life. Andrea felt that something in her life was missing in everything she was doing. Her enthusiasm was getting low and low, so she looked for a solution that   showed her the true value of art. Andrea decided to restart her studies in the art field, so she applied and started the masters  degree at the University of Arts and Design from Cluj Napoca.     In the university, she activates at different programs offered by the faculty. She participated in the student on residency at the "Towards a Shared Vision", and she participated in the art camp from Petroșani. Andrea 's soul guides her to express her emotions and communicate with them.
