ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This painting shows the moment right after Margarita has finally told Todd exactly what's up. There's an electric sizzle in the air between them and nothing else seems to exist. Meanwhile Los Angeles traffic goes on around them. The viewer has Todd's perspective. This was the first time I ever tried painting with palette knives. Note the texture on the blue dress and overcoat. I tried this technique after a woman I camped next to last summer suggested it. The image is inspired by Margarita V. This small canvas on wood frame would hang well in small spot such as a dining nook or bedroom.
