Painting: Acrylic, Oil on Canvas.
When you visit a place for the second time and you remember it as a wonderful one you may feel disappointed: the place is no longer beautiful and barely match with your former visit.
Your brain has deformed, idealized and mixed your previous experience with other ones. Try to take advantage of your dream before being spoiled by a new “rational” sight.
I try to paint these sensations. It is not about a painted memory but painting the fact of remembering. Colours, shapes, feelings, a warm weather, odours of grass... maybe good friends. This work recalls one evening in Marrakech
