Artist Profile – Prashant Luhar Prashant Luhar is contemporary artist , architect, urban planner from Ahmedabad, India. A graduate of CEPT University, he has been practicing as a professional architect and artist since 2009. His artistic journey began at the age of nine under the guidance of his father, Shree Balchandra Luhar, a fine arts graduate, who nurtured his early fascination with portraiture. Over the years, Prashant has developed a distinctive style that blends realism with subtle abstraction, capturing human emotions through bold yet fluid strokes. Prashant has held multiple solo exhibitions, beginning with his first show at CEPT University, followed by individually curated exhibitions by Sanskar Bharti in 2005, and later in 2008, 2015, and 2025. These exhibitions reflect his evolving journey as an artist, spanning from intimate portraiture to larger thematic explorations of divinity and spirituality. Working across mediums such as charcoal, oil, watercolor, and pencil, his portraits and divine-themed works reveal both technical mastery and spiritual depth. His art often explores the dialogue between precision and spontaneity, storytelling and silence, inviting viewers into a space of contemplation.
