ABOUT THE ARTWORK

An elegant portrait of Medusa. The background of the painting was created in the acrylic technique with spray and markers, but the portrait of Medusa is painted with oil paints. Greek lacquered ornament made of silver schlagmetall with the addition of gold, which adds an interesting shine and elegance to this illustration. Supreme glasses and garments with a unicorn effect, the surface reacts to light, strongly reflecting blue shine. Mixed media on canvas (spray, markers, acrylic, and oil paint). The sides are aesthetically painted in black. Signed on the right by the signature of the author.

The artist was born in Opole. There, in 2010-2015, she studied at the Faculty of History and Pedagogy of the Opole University at the Institute of Art department, obtaining a master's degree in photography and graphic design studio. She belongs to the Union of Polish Artists. The artist has recently focused on classical art, drawing from the grace of ancient marble sculptures and the depth of mythology, while also incorporating the dynamic energy of pop art. This combination gives the artist a wide spectrum of subject matter to explore. The chosen technique for this style is unconventional; the artist exclusively utilizes paints derived from linseed or safflower oil to depict figures, purposefully abstaining from superfluous solvents. The sole medium employed is pure walnut oil, serving both as a substance for mixing paint during the creative process and as a natural cleansing agent for brushes. "In my recent paintings, I focus on silhouettes and portraiture, capturing contemporary and historical figures set against vibrant, distinctive backdrops. These figures are surrounded by textures and elements inspired by luxurious fashion collections from renowned high-end designers. Monochromatic figures are the focal point, complemented by a series of contrasting elements featuring unpredictable motifs." - says.
