About The Artwork
I made this painting with black and white ink and acrylic. The central figure is an abstract face, the outline of which is formed by black spots. The spots blend together to form the lines that outline the eyes, nose and mouth. The face is therefore only vaguely recognizable as such, as I have represented it in an abstract way. the same black spots used for the face also form a tree trunk that merges with the figure of the face. I'm fascinated by liquid colors, because with them the shapes manifest themselves, without having to actively look for them. Looking at this face merged with a tree trunk, I realize that my life has always been like this: things come to me, rather than me looking for them. And in painting it's the same, I let the shapes manifest themselves instead of trying to control them. With my manually, I enhance what comes out by itself, carpe diem as they say. All my works are signed on the back, are ready to hang and have the certificate of authenticity.

My journey begins with studies in anthropology and music, followed by the passion for painting. I lived for three years in Brazil, where I started painting as a self-taught, initially creating collages and crochet work, and since then I have continued to expand my artistic repertoire, using the face and portraiture as my main sources of inspiration and expression, in addition to pure abstractionism. After returning to Italy, I exhibited my works in galleries, foundations and castles and collaborated with other artists, expanding my technique by attending art schools. I have also done commissioned work and illustrated an autobiographical book. In 2022 I created an anthological exhibition on the theme of the face together with my partner and companion Paolo Amoretti at the Gavi Fort, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Piedmont Museums, the Directorate of the Gavi Fort and the Patronage of the Municipality of Gavi. Among my collectors are the Italian designer Gabriella Crespi and family, and the Canadian actor Roy Dupuis. All my works are ready to hang, signed on the back and have COA.
