Sergio Nikoso

About the Artist

Sergio Nikoso

Thailand

Sergio Nikoso is a contemporary artist whose work explores contrasts and unexpected relationships between familiar things.

Nature and technology, life and decay, stillness and speed, reality and imagination often meet within his paintings. Sometimes the contrast is immediately visible; sometimes it reveals itself only after a second look.

His recent works increasingly use visual metaphor to turn seemingly simple scenes into questions. In Two Fates, two trees sharing the same sky become a reflection on the different paths life can take. In Plein Air in XXII Century, a robot paints an idealized natural landscape while surrounded by an industrial world, raising questions about creativity, memory, technology, and our relationship with nature.

Alongside these conceptual works, Nikoso explores speed and movement through his Formula 1 series, where racing becomes a study of energy, tension, color, and controlled chaos.

Rather than limiting himself to a single subject, he is interested in the moment when opposites meet — and a familiar image begins to tell another story.
