Merry Go Round: Ode to Hip Hop Painting

This work was inspired by Will Smith. I read the book "Will" and he spoke about his journey to hip hop. He mentioned those DJays who would throw the best parties, but it was all underground and on mixed cassettes. I wanted to do an ode to hip hop and feature a painting displaying the the tickets and flyers to get into the party. I wanted it to look like a street wall in Harlem New York. Have all the flavor and richness of the era. When you look close at it, you see artist like Run DMC, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Kool Herc and etc. I wanted it to feel like Hip Hop.
