Inspired by a photograph of Mick Jagger wearing a parka in the 60s, this experimental print was achieved by first painting the paper with gold acrylic paint then cutting a rough image of Jagger into a piece of wood board. Black acrylic paint was smeared onto the board and the paper pressed against it. The paper was then folded in half, Rorschach ink blot style, and then the wood pressed against the paper again for the third part of the image. The completed piece gives the impression of an image being formed then fading away into a distant memory, as one day Jagger will also.

Most recently Stephen's work has been featured in "And Now For The Good News (works from the Annette & Peter Nobel Art Collection)", at the Pera Museum, Turkey. Born in 1962 Stephen is a child of post war popular culture. His creativity began in '67 when his father set up a photographic darkroom in a cupboard under the stairs. There they made primitive b&w pictures, and Stephen hasn't stopped creating since. His work has been collected by clients around the world, and he likes to think his work gives pleasure, entertains and creates discussion.
