ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The work has on top of the acrylic a white satin pattern of oil is inspired by the dancing cubes of Mondriaan and also the work of Paul Klee. It gives joy and hopefully a lust for life. I try to make the simple cubes dance on the canvas. The cubes seem to be dancing in milk. It is full of harmony and life but at the same time has a hypnotic quality. Movement and energy together on the canvas. Inspired by Joan Mitchell , my goal is to create landscapes that draw you in with a hypnotizing quality. Originally from Amsterdam I moved to Geneva Switzerland. And now live in Los Angeles in winter and in France in summer.
