Female figure painted with acrylics and ink on sewn together used milk cartons. You can hang it at the wall with two nails from the white bottle caps at the top. I like the idea working with used materials to give it a second live. Please note there is no backing added, just the juice cartons. The edges are intentionally not straight and not in right angeles. This is part of the used look. It is not mounted, but can be mounted on wood, etc. It is semisoft, the cartons are rather flat, the bottlecaps are ca 1 cm depth. A milkmaid with blond braided hair holding a milk can dressed in a „dirndl“.

Meike Kohls was born in Hamburg in northern Germany. After study trips abroad to places like the South Seas, India, Italy and the USA, she set up her art studio in Hamburg, where she now lives and works.Inspired by the curves and colors of the South Seas her silkscreen prints and acrylics in bright colors highlight her joyful attitude to life. Her maxim: "Live life to the fullest, have fun." Her work features confident, curvacious women and men. She works with layers of color and texture to veil and unveil her models, lending her art works an element of mystery.
